Senior Vice President & Chief of Staff, Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce
Andrew earned a B.S. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin and a Masters in Urban Planning from NYU, but nothing compares to the education he received in the workplace, whether as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer serving all five boroughs with the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG), or raising corporate support for the city’s largest provider of homeless services – Volunteers of America (VOA), or working nearly six years as Director of the Borough President’s Capital Funding to his current post as Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff at the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, working with the Chamber team and President, Carlo Scissura – Brooklyn is the ultimate classroom and the residents the best faculty the world has to offer.
In addition to his day jobs – Andrew served on the Board of Directors of the NYC Economic Development Corporation, was appointed to the Coney Island Development Corporation, NYC Regional Economic Development Council, as well as the North Flatbush, Myrtle Avenue, 86th Street Bay Ridge and 5th Avenue Bay Ridge BIDs. He currently is a director on the Boards of several Brooklyn non-profits, the Bed Stuy Campaign Against Hunger, Brooklyn Boulders Foundation and Dancewave, Inc. As an avid Rock Climber he understands the importance of team work and communication when trying to scale literal and figurative mountains.
